Another day, another Marathon. The niggles, well, they boringly niggle!!!
Enough said.
So, apart from nearly getting killed by a falling rock not a lot happened…
So I thought I would share some ramblings salvaged in random from my day. Take from them what you will!
Many miles in and I start to notice more than ever the life around me in amongst the constant fields of wind farms. These ugly man made features standing like citadels in fields of desacration and destruction, tree stumps as far as the eye can see…. this depresses and saddens me.
I am brought respite from these endless hills by thousands of Dandelion seeds that dance in and around me glistening in the sun. They seem to gleefully follow my direction and offer company in their merry dance. This lifts me and I float along with them and feel free and alive with these life giving entities. This fanfare thankfully stays with me all day, their company a constant reminder of the things around us all of the time that we simply don’t see.
On a journey like this it can occasionally fool you into thinking you’re lonely and alone. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
I think we are conditioned by the way we exist to be sensitive to these very false ‘Feelings’
‘Feelings’=conditioning= feelings=boxes=feelings= conditioning and so on. We live in boxes. We go to work in boxes. We work in boxes. We use things out of boxes to make our other boxes easier to open. We communicate with boxes that like our minds are becoming boxed. We seek pleasure by staring into one form of a box or another. We eat out of boxes and we will land up in a box.
A task came to my mind shortly into today’s Marathon to answer the simple question of “What as humans, what one thing have we done, as a non reactionary/countermeasure to damage we have done or doing or going to do, positive, totally selfless and non profit driven – initiative for this planet!??” What good do we do or of use are we???
I cannot come up with anything.
You can open your eyes and see many examples in and around you all of the time that do good and are of use more than us, like the humble Bee.
The only thing we are advanced in, is blindly living in and congratulating ourselves in creating our very superficial fragile boxes!
Our time on this planet from fish to strutting pot bellied human equates to the width of a one pence piece coin. Stack coins to be as tall as the height of the Empire States building and that one coin is how our time stacks up on this earth. We are a blip in a box and will be nothing more, as we cant get out of the box! Rant over.
The day draws in harder. I know there will soon come a day where I will be reminiscing about these days and be wishing to be feeling the pain I am now, to be able and young and alive. I wish my friend Lewis was here with me other than I know he is in spirit. It saddens me so much that he isn’t here. His jokes would be in part the anaesthetic I need. Sadly missed ‘Brother’
Jump out of your box! You can and you should!
