Day 4:Turns out to be a long and arduous day full of pain and worry…. woke up with a very very swollen and obviously more damaged foot than previously hoped for and suspected..
I try my best to stamp any negative doubts and worrys to the deepest darkest parts of my soul…

Within half a mile I give up on trying to even jog a few steps as the pain was just to much.. everything taking four times as long..a battle of wills ensues..
With the terrain being fairly dull really..a long flat open ‘A’ road running parallel to a huge grey estuary snaking far far into the beckoning distance.
Glenmorrangie Distillary broke up the days tediousness..Very pleasant staff offering me, I’m sure a sad looking thing, a shot of their finest and a promise that they would send a v good bottle for a post challenge fundraising Raffle…

The respite was short and sweet like the weeee dram a whisky that flowed lava like through my aching body.. the anaesthetic short lived.
I arrive into Connon Bridge to stay in a place.. ( remain unnamed ) with it being modelled on the place in ‘Fawlty Towers’.. feeling affiliated I’ve made it. This happiness stays with me briefly once I see how bad my leg is..
R.I.C.E isn’t going to cut it.. I’m exhausted and woozy from the day and pain killers.. surely I should sleep..
Fingers and bruised toes are crossed..
