After injuring a tendon in my right ankle going downhill on the second day I knew this one would be tough, thankfully the weather seemed to have cleared up so I threw on my QEHB top and started off.

I saw some old ruins along the way… it felt like looking in a mirror!

I was having some real issues with my ankle and it seemed like some of the people passing noticed and slowed down to ask how I was, I chatted with a few families and kids over the course of the day, some even donated and that really perked me up so I pushed on!

Before hitting Brora I got into my Birmingham Children’s Hospital top and spotted another war memorial, reminding me to push as hard for the wounded soldiers as they have done for us.

The pain was still all too real but the amazing Scottish countryside couldn’t help but keep me in the right frame of mind, had to stop and appreciate the view momentarily.

As the day drew to a close I reached the 26 mile mark, ready to stick my feet in a bucket of ice…
